You'll join the Field Apps squad — three mobile engineers, one backend engineer and one designer building the apps that field agents and merchants use every day across Ghana, Nigeria and Kenya. Our users carry low-end Android devices, work in spotty network conditions, and rely on our apps to make a living.
The squad ships weekly to both stores and runs a tight beta program with real merchant partners. You'll spend time on real devices, in real markets, with real users — not just in DevTools.

Bring our offline-first sync engine to general availability, reducing failed transactions by half on weak networks
Ship a new agent onboarding flow that lifts D7 retention by 15% across our two largest customers
Lead the migration from bare React Native to a clean Expo + EAS workflow, cutting build times by 60%
Build and own NFC and BLE integrations for a new POS partnership launching in Q4
Run a quarterly on-the-ground research trip — observe agents in markets, file device-specific bugs, ship fixes
Be the codeowner for our shared design-system mobile components used across two apps

Compensation
Transparent, top-of-market, and adjusted thoughtfully for region of residence.
$65K – $95K
$65K – $95K base salary, calibrated to seniority and region of residence
Stock options
0.03% – 0.08% in stock options, four-year vesting with a one-year cliff

A senior mobile engineer will explore a production app you've shipped — what shipped, what broke, what you learned. Expect React Native, TypeScript and platform-specific questions.
Build a small offline-first feature in React Native, including a meaningful test. We pay for your time.
Two sessions: a code-walkthrough of your take-home, and a collaboration conversation with the squad lead and designer.
Two reference conversations and a written offer with full comp and onboarding plan.
