Small, senior teams with clear ownership. You'll know who decides what, and your scope is honest.
You'll lead Spalce's public sector go-to-market across West Africa, reporting directly to the CEO. We've already delivered for ministries and SOEs in Ghana and Nigeria — your job is to turn those wins into a repeatable practice across the region.
You'll work closely with our delivery leads on scoping, with finance on pricing and structuring, and with the founders on strategic accounts. The role is Accra-based but expects regular travel across the region.
What you'll do
We hire for outcomes, not tasks. Here's what success looks like in your first year.
Own the public sector pipeline end-to-end — outreach, qualification, bid, contract, kickoff
Build executive relationships with ministries, agencies and SOEs across Ghana, Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal
Lead our response on at least four major RFPs per year, partnering with delivery on scoping and pricing
Structure complex partnerships — including consortia, sub-contracting and joint ventures
Represent Spalce at industry forums and government-led tech events
Mature our public sector playbook — qualification criteria, pricing models, win-loss reviews
What you'll bring
If you don't tick every box, please apply anyway. We hire for trajectory, not a literal checklist.
Compensation
Transparent, top-of-market, and adjusted thoughtfully for region of residence.
$70K – $110K + variable
$70K – $110K base salary, calibrated to seniority and target
Stock options
0.15% – 0.30% in stock options, four-year vesting with a one-year cliff
Performance
Generous variable tied to closed public-sector revenue, targeting an additional 50% of base at plan
Interview process
Predictable, respectful, and fast. We aim for a clear decision within three weeks of your first conversation.
Our promises
A direct conversation with the CEO about your story, network, ambitions and what you'd build at Spalce.
Walk through two complex deals you've closed — qualification, structure, politics, what went wrong, what shipped. Expect frank questions on losses.
Build a 12-month public sector go-to-market plan for a chosen West African market. We pay for your time and review with the CEO and Head of Delivery.
An in-person session with the CEO, Head of Delivery, and one customer reference call. Lunch included.
Reference conversations with at least three senior counterparts and a written offer with base, variable and equity context.
