Quick answers to what teams ask before partnering with us on mobile apps.
We help you decide based on performance needs and budget.
Flutter when the UI is custom and pixel-consistent across platforms matters (fintech, custom dashboards). React Native when your web team is already in TypeScript and you want shared business logic. Native Swift or Kotlin when you need deep platform features (background BLE, ARKit, complex camera pipelines) or when battery and binary size are critical. We have shipped production apps in all three and don't have a religious preference.
We design for connectivity as a feature, not an exception. Critical flows work offline using SQLite or WatermelonDB, mutations are queued and idempotent, conflict resolution is explicit (last-write-wins, CRDTs or user-mediated merge depending on the data), and sync happens opportunistically when bandwidth returns. We also degrade gracefully on 2G via image proxies and payload-budget logging so we catch regressions before users do.
For React Native and Flutter, yes - we use CodePush, EAS Update or Shorebird for JavaScript and Dart bundle updates, which cover bug fixes and most UI changes within hours instead of days. Native binary changes (new permissions, native modules, OS API upgrades) still require an app store release. We're disciplined about what goes through OTA so we don't violate Apple's review guidelines.
Google Play averages 1 to 3 days for established accounts; Apple averages 1 to 2 days for updates and longer for first submissions. We de-risk by submitting to TestFlight and internal tracks early, maintaining clear privacy labels and IDFA disclosures, pre-recording reviewer demo videos for complex flows, and keeping a backup build ready in case rejection blocks a release window.
Yes. We integrate MTN MoMo Open API, Vodafone Cash, AirtelTigo, M-Pesa Daraja and Airtel Money either directly or through aggregators like Flutterwave, Paystack and Hubtel depending on settlement, FX and reconciliation needs. We handle USSD fallbacks, callback idempotency, transaction state machines and the reconciliation reports that finance teams actually need at month-end.
If your users open you once a month, a responsive PWA gives 90 percent of the value at 30 percent of the cost. If your engagement is purely transactional and SMS or USSD reaches a wider audience (telco, agri, last-mile), a feature-phone flow may outperform a smartphone app. Native apps require store presence, update discipline and ongoing OS-version testing - we'll tell you when that overhead isn't justified.
